Tailights,Dashboard Lights Fuse Keeps Blowing Out

One thing to check and I have come across this a couple of times is that some factory stereos used a black wire for the stereo illumination, if you have wired the black (earth) from the new unit to this wire it will cause the fuse to blow, disconnect the earth from this wire and wire it directly to the vehicle.

How to remove cd stuck in 2005 nissan sentra

If the eject button is not responding you may have to remove the radio front cover. If so, this may help or it may ruin your radio. You will need to watch for any small parts that may fall out as you remove the radio front cover and be sure to see or figure out where and how they go and are installed. If you are not confident in your abilities to attempt this, I would suggest having a professional technician attempt this. The professional guy may advise you that he would not be responsible for any damage to the radio. I have done this before with success and there are times that the attempt did not work, But I have never damaged a radio yet any more than it origionally was. This is the best advise I can give on your particular issue. Good luck.

I bought my truck 2007 dodge ram 2007 at an auction, the dashboard is not installed it looks like parts are missing, before i install another dashboard how can i know what part is missing its all the...

This could be a "knotty" one.

I think, if I were you, I'd take numerous digital pictures of what you now have and then visit a salvage yard.

Find a truck like yours, and, as you disassemble the dash for removal, check against the pictures you have taken to try and identify anything that may be missing.

Good luck on this one!

I need the radio operating manual for a Jeep Patriot 2009 model. Where can I down load it from as the local dealer cannot seem to find a hard copy for me.

following is the procedure. u can also check ehow for more details.
  • Twist the negative cable off the terminal on the vehicle battery, using an adjustable wrench.
  • Remove the factory issue stereo. Pry off the radio trim bezel with a flat head screwdriver. Remove the four bolts on each corner of the radio. Pull the radio out the dashboard. Unplug the thick black radio antenna cable. Disconnect the wire harnesses from the rear of the stereo. Place the old stereo to one side.
  • Prepare the dashboard for the new stereo. Fit the radio installation sleeve provided with the aftermarket stereo to the radio installation kit. Feed the sleeve through the portal of the radio installation kit and bend the tabs on the sides of the sleeve to secure it in place. Feed the audio wiring of the Jeep and the radio antenna cable through the portal of the assembly and slide the assembly into the dashboard. Secure it in place with the bolts removed earlier.
  • Wire the new stereo. Connect the wiring of the stereo to the audio wiring of the Patriot, using a custom wire harness adapter. Push the connections together until they snap into place and test the connection by tugging gently on either end.
  • Plug the radio antenna cable into the alloted port on the rear of the aftermarket head unit.
  • Slide the connected aftermarket stereo into the prepared housing in the Patriot's dashboard. Click it into place in the radio installation sleeve, taking care not to trap any wiring.

you dont need to take off the dashboard the stereo should come out by either screws or has holes on it that you need a special tool and you could pick that up at your local parts store and the directions to use that product should come on

    Stereo removal

Removing the stereo requires disassembling the dashboard. This is done on purpose by the company to deter stereo theives. The process is the same on all CRV's from 1999 thru 2003, and is described on this page:
