2001 Jetta Interior Climate Control Bulb
There is one bulb (for all three knobs) behind the center knob. Turn the knob to the straight up and down 12 o'clock position and pull the knob straight out. Wrap a soft cloth around the jaws of a pliers, that works the best. Pull the bulb out with a needle nose wrapped with a rubber band. The bulb is a sylvania 2721, available at most auto parts stores. You can also use a small piece of vacuum tubing to pull the bulb out. (pull straight out, don't twist it)
It's not just the dash for my 2000 Camry. My R(reverse) light comes on when I step on the break, the D(drive) light does not come on at all, the check engine oil and tail light out indicator lights come on intermittently (appears to have something to do with when I use my trunk) and the radio power button is very sensitive.
A couple months ago bulb for speedometer was replaced. Now dash lights are flickering. Mechanic cleaned battery terminals and flickering stopped. Now, two weeks later flickering again
whole panel apart. Doesn't the knob come apart?
