Question about 1996 Ford Escort 4 Door
I have fine smoke coming from vents in the car, oil in the base of the air filter and im losing water fast which is soaking my carpets in the front footwells, getting different opinions from different garages one says to replace the heating matrix which will cure all the problems the second one says to replace the pcv valve which of these are correct,if any . and would they cure all of the problems

The oil in the base of the air filter is you pcv valve. the valve is there to let air in, but not oil. when the valve goes bad, oil leaks in.
the water is a different problem. which would be the heater core or heater matrix. replacing it will fix you water on the floor problem
