1993 mx3 radiator drain?

Please tell me there is some way to drain my radiator because my baby has been running with water in the radiator for to long and i'd like to empty it and refill it with some nice anti-freeze. can anybody help me?

HI I JUST HAD TO DO THE SAME THING I COULDNT FIND THE DRAIN PLUG SO I JUST TOOK THE BOOTOM HOSE OFF.

Find the drain bung, if fitted at the bottom of the rad, or remove the bottom hose to the rad

if the thermostat is in the head at the top radiator hose , remove it an fill the cooling system until the water is at that point --refit the thermostat and continue filling
make sure that the heater is turned on so that any air is moved out of the system

How to flush a radiator system out


Put a pan under radiator to catch all fluid,open pet **** on bottom corner of radiator and drain , run water or cleaning agent with water thru system. close petcock and fill up with 1/2 water 1/2 antifreeze

How do i replace a water pump on a 1993 geo


1 disconnect battery ground cable
2 drain cooling system
3 on models with a/c, proceed as follows:

a discharge a/c system
b loosen upper and lower compressor bolts and remove compressor drive belt
c remove a/c line from top of radiator shroud

4 remove water pump drive belt
5 remove reservoir tank from radiator bracket
6 remove radiator shroud and fan/clutch from vehicle
7 remove waterpump pulley from waterpump
8 remove timing tensioner and timing belt
9 remove dipstick tube
10 remove alternator mounting bracket at water pump
11 remove water pump mounting bolts and water pump
12 reverse procedure to install, using new gasket and rubber seal

I have a 93 mazda mx3 4cyl 5sp. it is really hard to put in gear


sounds like the clutch is going to need replacement and while there you should change the slave cylinder too

i wold recommend kendell 10w30 but there is a sticker under the hood with tune up info on it that will tell you its usually on the frame near the radiator
