My check engine light is on what is wrong - 2007 Chrysler Sebring Sedan

The "Check Engine Light" is just a light. An indication of something else being wrong. It's that thing that's wrong that can cause you a problem, or not... It depends what turned it on. They are mostly for emissions, i.e. pollution controls for the engine. LOL! Like pulling off your catalytic converter. So, the light won't hurt your engine, but what made the light come on in the 1st place could, depending on what that is/was. P.S. You can't get inspected without the CAT on there.

Thats ur check engine light. check all ur fluids oil/transmission/coolant or antifreeze. If light stays on then see a mechanic, and they have a machine that pugs into ur car and tells you whats wrong

Exactly that. There is a problem with the engine. Check it. Have it diagnosed, get the DT codes and attend to them then re-scan.

What kind of symbol..Is it amber???..If its the engine light, go to autozone and get it scanned, they do it for free..That way you will have the codes

Any check engine light for a car of this year or newer is sent through the car's main computer. If you go to Advanced Auto or any other like auto store, they will be able to hook your car up to a machine which will tell you exactly what is wrong. They will also be able to offer advice on how to repair.

No fuses control those lights, and while I'd ignore the service engine, check engine suggests something is wrong and should not be ignored!
You could buy yourself a nanocom or similar and reset your service light and read the fault code to tell if the check engine is an intermittent error or something potentially more serious!
