2003 international 4400 abs light on only one stored code

the brakes are fixed first.
a real brake shop finds the actual cause of that lockup. first !
it can be caused by many things or a very bad ABS modulator.
fix brakes first then ABS,
no abs in the the world can hide bad brakes, at tad weak yes.
cause (GENERIC)
ABS is telling you the brakes (actual ) are failing, and even you know that too. (locks up) if it locks up the sensor goes dead, ABS does not understand or like that ever, and says the sensor is dead but is al lie
kinda, no sensor is good ,just the pulsed of it are dead, and expected. for any lockup. like this.
so at the failing wheel the whole assembly is fully inspected for damage ,rust seizure or breakage.. and make sure ABS end is not causing the lockup.
even axle bearings.checked. LR axles.
forget ABS, fix brakes, test them first, fully and fully inpected.
and service brake failures here, all here LR checked

2008 ford escape when the abs light is on i have no brakes what can fix this

You need a mechanic with a high level scan tool to check the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and Live Data. It is probably ABS Sensor related, but should never leave you with no brakes..

Why would my rear wheels lock up on my 2000 Geo Tracker?

Christine, Park brake may be stuck on or partially stuck, this is the main reason but it could be something else and should be checked out by a good technician.

My 1997 Ford F-350 truck won't shift from park to drive, and 'ABC' is lit up in yellow on the dashboard. What does 'ABC' mean on the dashboard of a ford f350?

I have never heard of a ABC light on any ford truck what I think you mean is the ABS. To repair the ABS light you need a diagnostic computer to pull the code find the sensor that is bad and replace it. More than likley it is one of the speed sensors on the wheels, you have one for each wheel. That will fix the ABS light now not able to shift it out of park, they utilize a cable on the shifter. The cable itself may be frozen so bad to the point where it wont shift at all. What I would do to varify that is first block wheels so the truck wont roll, unhook cable down at transmission than see if still wont shift or is very difficult to shift, if so replace cable and you should be all set.

I had the rear brakes replaced and now the ABS dummy light will not shut off I have diconected the battery trying to reset but that did not work is there a code to input on the dashboard controls to...

Hello wattever.

When the ABS light comes on it is detecting a problem in the system.
Until it is repaired the light will remain on.
In each of your wheels there is a sensor that reads wheel speed. Usually problems with ABS systems are related to these or the wire leads to them.
But with your recent brake repair it is possible someone left a wire loose or when bleeding the brakes introduced debris into the hydraulic section of the ABS.
You will need to have the system scanned to find the code that has set and go from there.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Speedo suddenly not working and two warning lights appeared on dashboard one being ABS light warning light.

If the ABS (and likely the traction control) light came on at the same time that the speedometer stopped working, you likely have a faulty wheel speed sensor at the right rear wheel. You can test this by swapping the two rear wheel speed sensors (ABS sensors). If the speedometer then works (but the ABS & Traction control lights stay on), replace the sensor that is now at the left rear (was at the right rear). If no change, you may have a fault in the ABS & Traction control - control unit.

ABS is locked up on rear brakes

Check your brake line going into the caliper and the caliper on the wheel that makes the noise. It's probably a caliper or brake hose. Hope this helps. PHil

Brake light and ABS light is on and the speedometer, odometer and tripometer are inoperable

replace the left front wheel hub assy. with 4 wheel abs. The spedometer works off of the left front wheel sensor. It will fix the abs/brake light and the spedometer will start working
