Moisture may be in your tank, and also check to see if moisture is getting in your distributor cap.

Whenever the humidity is high such as 70% early in the morning my pickup engine will not start. During the normal days the humidity is down 30% engine start in one self no problem comes through.

run the fault codes to check for sensor problems
It could be the volume air sensor ( air density sensor) that is a problem
I am inclined to think that the problem is more electrical as high humidity allows condensation in a distributor cap that is shorting out the spark
when the engine is hot ,that moisture is gone but on cooling down ,condensation again forms causing the fault

On humid hot days my truck is finicky about starting. I don't even hear the fuel pump engage

You don't give any info on vehicle, engine...etc, but I think your friend is right about the coil. You have to try and determine if it's fuel or spark. Could be your fuel filter....

On hot days...the engine sputters and eventually quits...won't start until it cools down.

My first guess would be a relay or the ignition module.
Do you have spark at the plugs when it won't start ?

Need some advise, no problem starting the car CLK (02) but the dashboard warning lights ie handbrake, engine, abs etc won't switch itself off. The next day start the car again and it's gone!...

All those warnings are controlled by the computer, so it might be a computer glich. But most likely it was hot in the car and maybe even humid in it that caused an electrical component not to work. Then when you started it up the next day it was cooler or less humid. Which is an indication that something is getting weak (electrically).

Car hard to start on humid days

Just tuned up a jetta, put di-electric grease under the plug wire boots and especially the coil wire. The moisture causes mis-fire mainly at the coil. His VW had the same problem. Small pack of grease will be enough. buy 2 packs at adavance auto for $1.09 each.

2002 Ford Ranger runs all day starting and stopping the engine, then 1 hour later starts and sputters off after trying to start. Weather was hot and humid but never have had this problem...any ideas??

if its not damaged spark plugs or cables then it could damaged or water in distributor, If there is a black coil it could be losing current wait until night time and start vehicle you will see current light up like a christmas tree
