Is this van new for you ? is it a status light letting you know that the airbag is loaded and ready for anypassenger that you have in your van ? do you have a key that you can turn it off in most vans there is an option to turn air bag on or off depending on size or opinion of passenger . im thinking that if its a status light its okay to be on letting you know its ready for opperation . take a look at your owners manual airbag section . and if it does turn out to be a warning malfunction indicator please dont waste time take it to your local dealer and have it checked out .hope this information helps good luck

Could be just a problem with the wiring. Once had a client complain that every time he sat on passenger seat of his car the airbag warning light came on. Turned out it was one of the wires in that seat that was too short, and because he was big and always put the seat all the way back the wiring got stretched. But the best thing to do is connect a diagnostic machine to the car.
seat belt sensor or air bag sensor, some cars measure weight in the seat on the passenger side and if it is below a certain amount it disables the passenger air bag, a safety for little kids, other sensor for seat belts, if there is any weight and no seat belt is fastened it will turn the seat belt warning light on in the dash.
I had this. The issue was resolved by the Jaguar Main Dealer by recalibrating the passenger seat weight sensor. The system is designed so that the passenger air-bag is disabled within a certain weight band detected on the seat (to protect babies in carry-chairs).
If a concern is detected, the air bag control module will communicate by flashing the warning indicator. A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is logged by the air bag control module in a nonvolatile memory. For additional information, refer to Diagnosis and Testing in this section.
Lamp Fault Codes (LFC)
One flash cycle: Driver air bag trouble code
Two flash cycle: Passenger air bag trouble code
Three flash cycle: Trouble code common to both driver and passenger air bag circuit
Four flash cycle: Safety belt pretensioner trouble code common to both driver and passenger pretensioner circuits
Five flash cycle: Driver side air bag trouble code
Six flash cycle: Passenger side air bag trouble code
The passenger air bag will only come on if there is weight in the seat. The manual says 40 lbs, but it is more than that. When my 60 son sits in the front, the air bag stays off. This is a safety mechanism. An air bag can kill a small child, so it automatically turns itself off if there is little or no weight in the seat. Also saves having to have the air bag repacked if you have a wreck with no one in the front passenger seat--a costly repair.
