My airconditioning/heater blower only works on # 4. Suddenly stopped working on 1, 2, 3. What is the problem?
AC was working great all of a sudden it stop blowing. . turned off car checked fuses still nothing, then with switch off it began blowing but very low....
I have had a similar problem on a 2002 Concorde and an older Oldsmobile. There is a "resistor package" (the term I was given) that can easily be replaced. Go to an Auto parts store and ask them about one. They will even help you locate it under the hood.
On the 2002 the dealer replaced it under the warranty years ago and it still works fine. On the 1994 Olds I replaced it myself. I pulled the wires off and unscrewed a few screws and replaced it.
On the Olds, the resistor wires were rusted and separated. The replacement works fine. I THINK it was about $30.00 for the part.

Blower motor has only worked on high #4 since I had 42000 miles on the truck. If I wiggle the warning harness under the glove box, 1 & 2 will work until I hit a bump or stop suddenly. I have a harness but am fearful of putting it in due to the passenger airbags! You have replaced the Resistor pack 3 times. On the 2nd time I even did the wiring harness. Now it is out again, plus the Flashers, Aux ports, AC will not turn on, etc. Too many electrical problems to list.
if you can reach the blower motor, it could be a worn out carbon brush of the blower motor. if they are, buy a set of carbon brush, learn how to replace them and it would be back running in no time. by the way, when you pull out the carbon brush holder, make sure you dont interchange the position. you can put them back wards and what would happen is the rotation will be reversed. either you reversed the carbon brush holder or just simply interchange the wires that are coming to the motor. i hope i was able to help...
I have an 01 convertible lxi that just did the same thing..... You can go to an auto parts store or in my case, I went to Firestone and had them replace the blower resistor. My air now works on all settings.
