Question about 2006 Chevrolet HHR
I left my keys in my pants with the keyless entry. I am wondering if they got wet and is shorting out and causing the horn to engage.
I had to use my spare key to turn the engine on to stop the horn perhaps that caused a problem.
I tried to find the fuse box and pulled two pannels that may have been computer hardware and now my engine light stays on, my speedometer doesn't work and my transmission stays in the same gear.
My gas cap is tight and I have less than 45,000 miles.
Can you help?
My keyless entry wont work on my 2006 chevy hhr it has a new battery and checks good

Its not better to go to a key copying and re-set your remote entry?

Tips for a great answer:
Rotate the key from the center to the unlock position.
Press the horn button on the remote keyless entry transmitter.
Count the number of chimes that you hear. The number of chimes tells you which mode you have set.
Press the horn button again in order to change the mode. Continue to press the button until you hear the number of chimes that indicates the mode that you want.
Turn the key back to the center position and remove the key from the door key cylinder.
In order to exit and save the current feature customization modes use the following procedure:
