Opening and removing the Pump-filter assy. was easy..

The problem was take apart the assy. It took me some time to figure it out how to do it witout brake anything. I spent 1 1/2 hours total to replace the filter. (One hour to take apart the assy.)

But I saved some money and I learn something today.

Be carefull to use the two gaskets from old filter in the new one.

    Thanks

FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT
1. Reduce the internal pressure of the fuel lines and hoses by completing the following operations. a. After removing the rear seat cushion, disconnect the fuel pump harness. b. Start the engine. Allow it to stop by itself, then turn the ignition switch OFF. c. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal. d. Connect the fuel pump harness connector. 2. Remove the eye bolts while holding the fuel filter nuts securely. Cover the fuel filter with a shop towel to avoid residual gasoline from splashing. 3. Remove the fuel filter mounting bolts, then remove the fuel filter from the fuel filter clamp. 4. After replacing the fuel filter, check for fuel leaks.gasoline filter - cdeb28c.gif

I have a 2011 red renegade moped. as I was driving to work it jut quit running like it ran out of gas, but had plenty of gas in it can anyone help me?

Check gas filter might be clogged I wouldn't be surprise if it was, lots of bad gas out there, usually near the carburetor or near gas tank. best place to look also check air filter if it a sponge filter clean it with gasoline use gloves of course before handling gasoline, or some form of cleaner then after cleaning that try it. but I would bet it the gas filter. good luck

1985 f150 lariat with dual tanks, rear tank rusted and leaking, would like to know what to plug to make front tank work on its own with required fuel pressure. its a 302

I see that you have not received an answer yet. I had a dual tank Diesel which had a switch under the dash to change tank feeds. Both tanks reported fuel amounts to the same fuel gauge as each tank was switched on.

If this is the system you have (using gasoline) then simply turning the dash control should isolate the rear tank. If yours is different, you need to look underneath the truck at the fuel line routing.

For gasoline engines there was an idea to meet EPA Emissions standards by closing the fuel loop. This meant that unused fuel that was brought to the engine was returned back to the fuel tank. Some things were different for Trucks by weight Class and because of the EPA rules, trucks keep their carburetors while cars went to fuel injection. The "light" Trucks changed to fuel injection before "heavy" Trucks.

Most of the fittings to fuel components can have a taper machined to match fuel components only. There can be different thread seats, even Metric for replacement parts. Your best bet to match components is disconnect the problem part, take it with you, and then get a cap plug to block the flow. This is providing that the rear tank does not need the loop anymore.

Dumping gasoline out the exhaust.went through half a tank in about 4 hours just idling.i know its missfiring as well.could be a sensor.

Yes it could be a sensor. Could also be your IGNITION SYSTEM, FUEL INJECTORS, EVAP CANISTER PURGE VALVE, FUEL PRESSURE, EVAPORATIVE EMISSION SYSTEM, BASS ENGINE, or something simple as your gas cap not on properly or you might need a new one. Your best bet is to take it and have a diagnostic reading done. Have all, if any, codes checked before you start fixing and spending for unnecessary things.Would help if you had a friend who knows something about cars and have a DVOM and TEST LIGHT to help check certain codes and fuses.

When starting the car it kinda stalls

Could be as something as simple as a plugged fuel filter to spark plugs to a sensor going bad. Could also just be a bad tank of gas. You could try running some fuel injection cleaner in the gas tank and maybe replace the fuel filter. Also clean or replace you air filter. And the spark plug electrodes might be worn out and need replacement. Just trying to give you some simple maintenence ideas that do not break the bank and may fix your problem. There are many variables that can cause stalling. You might need to have a mechanic hook it up to a diagnostic computer and start the car. When it is stalling they will be able to see exactly what the cause for the stalling is and fix it.

well first of all, it's a good thing you're draining it, because there's rust in your gas tank. Second, you're going to have to siphon the gas out, and third, use a proper technique, because i doubt that gas is too tasty

Fuel filter replacement

I believe there is actually an access panel in front of the second row seat behind the drivers seat that you can access the top of the tank, fuel pump and possibly the fuel filter if it is in the tank. Lift up the carpeting and check.

Gasoline Pump Location To Change The gasoline Filter

if the filter is near the pump, the fuel pump generally is in the tank, it is electric. My bet would be that the filter is somewhere in the undercarriage, easily accessible, in the fuel lines. You will have to follow the fuel lines coming out of the tank to the motor compartment. if it is not anywhere there, check the firewall, taht is a common chrysler placement for a fuel filter

Fuel filter location and replacement

You need to first jack the car off the ground, the fuel filter is located in front of the fuel tank. A new fuel filter is inexpensive and easy to find. One end of the filter needs to be disconnected with a wrench, around 5/8". The other end is a very simple, somewhat fragile plastic clip that should be no problem to disconnect once you look at it for a minute or so. Make sure and keep lots of rags handy, because once you unhook the filter, it will leak all over the place. Once you have the old one out, installing the new one will be simple.
