Question about 1995 Toyota Camry

95 camry, ignition/missing

95 toyota camry 2.2l-
I have just replaced the timing belt, air idle sensor, plugs and wires and distributor cap. the car is still missing and gets worse when it gets warm and worse when hot. What is next...I'm in it over 500 dollars and it is still acting up. The last mechanic told me the compression was fine, no oil in water or water in oil??? I'm stumped and so are they.

    1995 camry 2.2L, 100k+ miles, won't start, fuel and spark check good, internal coil checks good, all fuese and relays check good, fuel pump good, new plugs, dist cap/rotor, battery, fuel filter, starter rolls the engine over but will not start, tried to retireve any codes but check engine light flashes continuoulsy with providing any codes, is there an inertia switch in this car? I've looked and didn't find. Tried everything (even cleaned out the ash tray, STILL won't start) YEAH, gas in the tank! HELP!!

    Have similar problem but misses more when cold ,has slight miss when warm and cruising at speed [100kph] but under hard accelleration pulls well and miss is not there but will return,plugs, leads are good just put in new fuel& air filters distributer cap seems ok don,t know about the coil [can,t find it] Any infomation would be greatfully appreiated

I just had the same problem, 2.2liter engine the ignition coil is most liely the problem , mine is inside the dist. some are on the drivers side strut tower, if there are five plug wires, its on the strut tower, if only four, its in the dist. If yours is in the distributor, it can only go in and out one way, so dont worry about removing the dist and messing up the timing. the coil is about 43.00 with the ohio tax. coils are thermally protected, and start to mis fire when they get hot. you can ask me a lot about this car, mine has over 500000 miles let me know, if this helps, see ya, good luck, ron

What's the mileage of your 1995 toyota camry.
Usually when it is overheat, the car missing.

check the water pump, thermostat and the rediator, see ii is circulate or not, you can do this test yourself.

1. start the engine and leve the radiator cap open.
2. put a carboard cover the front of you radiator.
3. let it run 20 minutes or more, see if it is overheated and see the water or coolant in the radiator circulated or not. If not, means one of them is stoped.

Check your fuel injectors.. I had the same issue one injector wasn't working properly. If you are the mechanically inclined type it's not A tough Job. I got an injector from A Salvage yard for 5$. Check the ohms of the injector with A DMM meter they should all be very close. Mine were all 13.9 except one that was 15.2.. Make A harness and check the injector with the Cars Battery if it clicks its A good injector, no click Bad...

I have a Toyota Camry 1993 it starts just fine but when I mash the gas it stalls out. also it will start but will not stay running. We have replaced the fuel filter, the fuel pump,the idle air control...

Go all the way and replace the oxygen sensor, the computer needs correct information from the O2 sensor in order to meter the correct amount of fuel. Also be sure that the catalytic converter / exhaust is free flowing. At an idle you should be able to feel pronounced exhaust pulses at the tail pipe. If it has a shhhhh sound then it may just be plugged.

My 95 camry is stalling out.

This usually caused by a sticking idle air control valve, it's attached to the throttle body, to fix this remove the throttle body and then the valve and clean both of them using a can of air intake cleaner and a brush, clean all the carbon deposits and make sure the IAC valve does not hang upbefore reassembly.

My toyota camry will turn over but will not start i have no spark to plugs

That could be a few things. First a bad distributor cap and rotor. Second u my need pugs and wires. Third a bad distributor.Last bad timing belt .Good luck

If it cranks immediately and then dies .your distributor may need to be replaced. If you have to whirl it over several times before it starts the timing is off

1995 Toyota camry Le 4C Missing Problem -

i have came across simler problems in the past so im going to give you a list of four main suspects number 1; a broken or pereshed vacuum hose at the trottle body or inlet manifold.2 a blocked injector 3 a fuel injection system fault 4 a disconnected /leaking or perished crankcase ventilation hose.Before you try any of these by a can of fuel cleaner and run it through your system remember a small piece of dirt half the size of grain of salt is enough to cause this problem good luck.adrian

Engine idles rough, misses at 2500-3000 rpm's

i would first check the timing and if that does not fit i would take the cover back off and look at the belt for a bad or missing tooth

94 toyota camery no spark

I had the same problem recently but replacing the ignition Coil under the distributor (inside) solved the problem. Also replaced the distributor Cap and rotor at the same time.
