Question about 1992 Jeep Cherokee Sport
My windows and locks went out several years ago. Since it's such a gas hog it's been parked unless some emergency. Well it's emergency time and the a/c thank god has been hanging in. I need help because today the a/c didn't work for 5 miles. The locks make a clicking noise in the dash or or the side panel but nothing happens as in the way of locking. My windows don't work at all. How do I remove the panel or control panel for the locks and windows? Please help thanks!

I had the same problem with now power to windows, mirrors and seat. The common soulution is the orange and or black wire in the boot have broken between the door and post.

Sounds familiar - I pulled the rubber boot back and found the black wire was broken. I stripped the wires and put on a couple bullet connectors (terminators) and all is good. Just wish I would have seen this post before I took the door panel off... Oh well...

This seems to be the affects of a bad dinamo charging your battery . If you take a appart the dinamo you should fine a part called in mechanic terms "the bones" they look like 2 black magnets with a wire coming out of them . They are not expencive and you should not change your dinamo untill you try this first a car dinamo is very expencive .

SOURCE: 04 Jeep Power Windows
THIS REALLY WORKS****** Saved atleast $600 easy
Ok so when you open your driver door there is a black boot that goes from the body of Jeep to the door (inside the Jam when you open door-its visable) Take this loose...inside there is a wire bundle...there was a black and orange wire in there that were both broken....All we did was strip these and reconnect them w/ connector....Voila..windows all roll up and down..interior lights come on and the locks work and the power mirrors....I AM SO HAPPY THAT THIS WORKED SAVED ME SO MUCH $$$$

Check the temperature sensor...it tells the computer when it's cold, and changes fuel mixture accordingly. (same as a choke used to do)
Just curious...If it only starts warm, how do you get it warm???
