I think the ECU, alternator, igniter, stereo and RPM gauge at least are damaged.

SOURCE: power steering belt on a 94 camry v6

only 2 bolts. They are hard to get to at the back of the engine but one is the mounting one and the other is the locking one for the adjuster once you get them lose you can undo the adjuster bolt and take tension off of belt then pull it off and replace it.

SOURCE: 2003 Camry won't stay idling after I changed battery

This is extremely common :)

With time your throttle body gets gummed up with oily residue from the PCV system. As this happens, the computer adapts to the restriction it causes in the throttle body.
When you unhook the battery, these learned values are lost and the default settings for idle control are used. Unfortunately the default settings are no longer sufficient to keep the idle correct with it all gummed up.

Take your intake hoses off the throttle bodies and clean the insides (open the throttle plates for better access) with a rag and some brake parts cleaner or throttle plate cleaner, available from your local parts store.

Reassemble and start the car, your idle problems should be gone immediately.

SOURCE: I have a 94 Camry V6. Brake light went on about a

Hi:
All modern cars have a dual brake system, this way if you would happen to spring a leak in your rear brakes, your front brakes still work. When one system fails, you get a brake light. In your case, the first place to start your troubleshooting is to check the fluid level in the brake reservoir. If either the front or back of the reservoir is empty, you have a leak. If both are still full, the most likely problem is your master cylinder failing. If you think you have a leak, look at the inside edges of all 4 wheels, and look for signs of brake fluid .

Hello.

I have a solution for you, as I see your same issue in my shop quite a bit...There are two possibilities:

You may have a broken wire. This is a very common issue.

Open up the trunk lid, and look at the hinge on the driver side. You will see a wiring harness, in a plastic tube, attached to the arm that holds th trunk lid to the car.... Remove the tubing, and follow the wires towards the back seat area. You are probably going to find a wire that has been broken, from the many actions of opening and closing the trunklid. Splice and resolder the wire, and you should be fine.

The other issue is the tallamp failure sensor may have burned out. This too is rather common. Open the trunk lid, and pull back the inner carpeting on the driver side of the trunk. Locate a small box (it will be white or blue), on a brace. The box is closer to the quater panel sheetmetal. Remove the box, and take it apart. If it looks or smells burnt, you need a new sensor.

My 94 Saturn turn over but no stat the battery terminal was put on backwards and something on the right side of the car was smoking now it just turns over but won't start

Possibly damage to the item that produced magic smoke.
Call an autoelectrician and be prepared to pay a lot of money for a silly mistake.

Battery placed in backwards

You probably blew a main fuse or circuit breaker. I believe your fuse box is on the driver side under the hood. Check your owners manual for fuse I.D. Then check the main fuses.

How did you make the determination that all the firing orders are wrong? No matter what the source was, the firing order should be the same no matter who you got the information from. Am I correct on this.....that everybody keeps giving you the same firing order??? As a point of emphasis I would like to know if you recieved conflicting specifications regarding the firing order. You may want verify the calibration of the distributor's position. At TDC the distributor rotor should be pointing to #1 cylinder terminal on the distributor cap, or 90 degrees across from it. Please verify.

What happens if you put the battery in backwards 94 camry

You will blow some fuses, including the main fuse which is usually an 80-100A fuse in the fuse box under the hood, this fuse is larger than the others and has a clear cover on it, check this fuse first and if blown it has to be replaced, this fuse does not pull out it is bolted in and the fuse box has to be taken apart to remove it.

Battery terminals

Can't tell you without looking at the battery, it may be in backwards...This is what you need to tell the difference between positive and negative:
The positive terminal usually has a plastic red cap over the wire. The positive wire is usually red.
The positive wire leads to the fusebox, and the starter.
The Negative wire connects to the fender. Is is usually closer to the fender. Let me know if this helps, a FixYa rating would be greatly appreciated.
