No start/got spark/got air/fuel ?

The fuel solenoid located in the fuse boxe chatters incessantly before it will start. this went on for months then going down the road one day it just died

My 1995 wrangler turns over great but no fire. If you sit with key on for about 5 minutes the chattering will occur in the relay box then jeep will start. This happens every time i shut jeep off and let it sit for a bit. if i leave key in the ignition turned on then it will start back up again. Not sure if this is a wire problem or a relay issue. But i did change my fuel pump relay and my starter relay. The other thing is that he fuel pump doesnt cycle until the relay box does its chatter thing. so its all related somehow.

On my jeep you also have to wait for the relay to reset. I have swapped the relays and didnt help. I have also replaced the fuel pump thinking that it was pump failure but it wasnt. After jeep starts it idles for awile and starts to miss. If driving it stalls and have to wait about 15 mins to start.

I lived with mine having to wait for the pump to prime for awihle. Then it went from waiting a few seconds to minutes. Then when it warmed up it would die for about 10 minutes then start again. I replaced the pump, relays, and the crankshaft positionsing sensor and still the same. I finally shelled out the money for a ECU/ECM. Problem solved.

Occasionally when I try to start my car I hear a chattering behind my glove box, and the car will turn over but wont start. seems like a fuel delivery issue.

That chattering sound is probably the fuel pump relay which sits up and to the right of the glovebox....its either not seated properly, its socket is failing, its failing or the wiring from PCM to it is not good (it could also be a PCM issue but check those other areas first)...remove the lower insulation panel and then look up and you should see a fuse/relay panel..the lower insulation panel should have relay location in the fuse/relay panel

1989 ford escort turns over but wont start

if all you did was this...and and put a new battery in and still wont start...if you have went thru your plugs..wires..distributor..ignition coil...made sure your getting spark..if not..check your relays and fuses..preferebly one that deals with spark and timing for injectors..if everything is fine to that point...then try a crankshaft position sensor...it tells the pcm timing for fuel injectors and fire to the ignition coil...hopefully this helps.

I have a 2003 nissan sentra spec-v it was working fine, i parked it, went to crank it a lil while later an it wouldnt start. ivechecked all the basics, starter, fuses and nothing. its almost like the...

MIGHT BE A RELAY ! LOCATED UNDER HOOD, YOU SHOULD SEE RELAY BOX NEXT TO BATTERY. MAKE SURE BATTERY TERMINALS ARE CLEANED, PUT SOME VASOLINE ON TERMINALS, RECONNECT, TIGHTEN. CHECK ALL GROUND WIRES. ARELAY BOX MAY ALSO BE LOCATED NEXT TO POWER STEERING . COULD HAVE A FAULTY SOLONOID@ STARTER, IGNITION SWITCH COULD ALSO BE FAULTY, ITS NEVER EASY TO PINPOINT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, PROCESS OF ALIMINATION, CHECK ALL STARTING CIRCUIT SYSTEMS, IS YOUR SHIFT LEVER ALL THE WAY IN PARK ? DOES ENGINE CRANK ? OR DEAD, NO POWER ? ARE YOU GETTING SPARK ? HOW ABOUT FUEL ? DID YOU REPLACE BOTH THE AIR &FUEL FILTERS ? THE STARTER / SOLONOID IS WHAT CRANKS THE ENGINE, I THINK YOUR PROBLEM IS THERE ! REPLACE RELAY TO STARTING SYSTEM, ARE YOUR SPARK PLUG WIRES NEW ! THEY WILL SHORT OUT ANY SPARK IF OLD, DIRTY, I SUGGEST A TUNEUP, NEW FILTERS, AND REPLACE STARTER/SOLONOID !!!!!!

2004 JEEP LIBERTY. BATTERY GOOD. THE CAR WILL NOT TURN OVER. IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS COMMING FROM FUSE BOX UNDER HOOD

I assume you are hearing a starter Relay/solenoid chattering. That's usually caused by:

A dead battery.

A loose connection on Battery or start relay/solenoid.

Bad connection at starter or bad starter.

Good Luck

Engine (97 ford ranger) stopped at stop lite and would not restart. Spark to plug wires, plenty of gas, good battery. after cranking several times, will start and run 3 or 4 sec. THE RELAY TO THE FUEL PUMP...

Just for the hell of it replace the fuse with a new one relative to the fuel pump also clean and inspect all electrical plugs and connections associated with the fuel system. There may be a bad ground with out the truck in front of me it will be difficult to go any further it is possible the pump is not creating enough pressure to close the relay have you replaced the fuel filter? If possible do a fuel pressure check at the fuel rail it should be 30 - 40 psi if not replace the pump.
