The freezing part is a bummer. Many things can be damaged by expanding ice. Now, The warwe coming from around the distributor is more than likely melt off.Check the engine oil to see if the water got into the crankcaseConsensation is probabaly the cause of no spark.. Fill the radiator with all spark plugs removed. See if any cylinders fill up with water. If one does, there is one of tthree things of concern. A head gasket, Intake manifold gasket or a cracked cylinder :-( The best you can do is pressurize the cooling system and locate where the water us going. Ck all your hoses. Good Luck. If you woll, let me know what you find, Thanks, Ned
If you mean frozen as in, the engine is locked up due to water rusting it together, you're in for a LONG hard process. I'd order a good 12-pack of Aerokroil from Kano Labs, and ~2 gallons of it Kroil with graphite. Dump contents of the oil pan, and make sure it's all cleaned out (leave the drain plug out, pour kerosene/diesel down the oil filler, let it run out, should clean it out by the time you get 1/2 gallon). Put the plug back in, pour in the kroil. Pull out the spark plugs, and spray each spark plug liberally (With a full can) of AeroKroil. Now, on the crank snout, most likely the main pulley, there will be a bolt. Get a socket to fit that bolt, and then get a long ol' cheater bar, put the socket on the ratchet, and every day spend 20-30 minutes man handling that cheater bar. The rest of the time, put a bungee on it to keep some pressure.
