Did you take a compression check on these cylinders compare to 1 & 4, possible causes for such a symptom are as listed:damaged head gasket between 2 & 3, a cracked cylinder head between 2 & 3, faulty injectors, bad plug wires or coils(direct ignition), a warp cylinder head, intake or exhaust valve are losing compression, damage or sleeping piston rings.
Check for propper installation of plug wires #2 and #3 may be crossed. If they are OK then check for propper spark on #2 and #3. If Ok then check fuel pressure. If OK then do a Compression test a compression test should tell you the condishion of each Cylinder and wether the new head gasket is holding or not. Did you have the old head replaced, rebilt, or have it checked to see if it was worped or had any bad valves? Did you use new head bolts? Good Luck and have a good XMASS.
