Question about 1998 Nissan Sentra
1998 Nissan Sentra 160si, 170k odd on the odometer.
On cold mornings the car will not start. The engine will turn over audibly, and some cylinders might catch, but the car does not start. To make the problem even more perplexing is that in the past i HAVE MANAGED to get it started in this situation, though usually after 10 or so crank attempts.
Furthermore, if I drive the car after a push start or something, there are no problems starting the car again for a couple of hours...
I have ruled out the battery as a cause, as well as the alternator. Battery is new and the alternator charges between 13.5V and 14.3V.
Check the fuel system enrichner valve, what used to be called the choke on normal carbs.
