An good battery is not going to die from 1 day of not being used. And one cold day is not going to kill it either. Something drained it, I think you need to charge the battery and take it somewhere and have someone figure out what is draining the battery while the ignition is OFF. this usually turns out to be an anti-theft circuit malfunction which keeps locking/unlocking the doors.

I bought a 2005 Ford Five Hundred last May.... I had no problem until when it started getting really cold and it started snowing. It wont start everytime I get in my car when its really cold or snowing ...

Since you bought it, what has been done in the way of
preventative maintenance

I would have layed it up for two weeks, and gone through the
entire vehicle,changing all fluids,spark plugs,checked fuel
pressure and on and on.

You probably bought a vehicle that is 5 or more years old,
that other than, oil changes, is the same as when it came off the
train and car hauler, on the way to a dealer

That won't work on todays high tech vehicles

Snow and cold, has little to do with todays electronic wonders

You do realize, your asking a question, when as I said, we have no vehicle
history

I don't think you understand the technology, not anyone can work on todays
vehicles. You need a 2 or 4 year college degree, if your just starting out

I will help you when you give me something technical to work with

2002 kia sportage wont start unless starting fluid is sprayed in, then runs fine for a couple of days, problem returns. shows no code

Hi,

It sounds like you have a problem with the fuel system.

Check the fuel filter, fuel pump, pressure regulator and injectors.

Hope this helps

HOLD keeps coming on in my 99 kia sportage what does that mean

Look on the shifter lever, just bellow the push button. There is another push button there. That's the one you press or depress to keep the transmission on 3rd. gear. Just press it again and the hold light should come off.

Engaging 4x4

press the break and put the car in to neutral. Now while holding the break down shift the nob to 4x4 then put the car in drive. you can also keep the car in drive and shift to 4x4 but you have to bring the car to a complete stop before doing so, and the break must be held down (like at a stop light)
