Did your Bonne start OK but slow before battery swap? Does the motor not turn over at all? Can you jump start the new battery? If your 3800 V-6 is not turning over now...try tapping the starter with a hammer then try to start...for this scenario...the starter needs replaced...not a bad job on you Bonneville...:)

your battery probably has a dead cell.replace it,the battery. this should cure the problem.once the car is started take off the battery cable if it stays running the alternator is working.

Quite possible the alternator is shot. If so, it will not charge the battery as you drive. Therefore the car is operating on battery power only.

Have alternator and battery tested. Hope this is helpful.

Car won't start, jump starts ok, battery showing charge, can't turn it over from ignition
If the car jump starts ok then I would suspect that the battery is old or will not take a charge or loose connection at the battery. Replace the battery with the recommended battery (don't get the cheapest replacement). Cadillac's have loads of electrical demands and/also when the car is not running.
