Question about 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT
I have a 1999 grand am 4 cylinder. when I come to a complete stop the car wants to die out. I have to idle it to seep it going. I got a diagnostic test done and it shows the following codes, po461c and po463c. Could someone help?
P0461 reads: Fuel level sensor circuit, range or performance problem.
P0463 reads: Fuel level sensor circuit, high input.
Both codes point to changing the fuel sending unit and, I'm sorry to say, isn't cheap. I recently replaced mine and it ran about $300 for an aftermarket unit purchased from O'Reilley auto parts.
