There is something called a "blower motor resistor" that is mounted in the heater box in front of the blower fan. It is burnt out. It's mounted in the heater box so that the blower motor cools it down but they still burn out over time. There is usually a few big wires that connect to it and it will be held on to the box from the outside with a couple of screws. If you need exact instruction, let me know and I'll dig them up and post it.

Testimonial: "Thanks, might you be able to post the exact instructions?"

CHECK YOUR BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR. IT WILL BE LOCATED ON THE HEATER CASE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE CLOSE TO THE MOTOR. IT WILL HAVE ABOUT 4 WIRES TO IT. IT IS POSSIBLE THE SWITCH IS BAD, BUT MORE LIKELY THE RESISTOR CHECK IT FIRST.

Most likely the blower motor resistor or the fise for the low speeds. The high setting for the blower motor is on a separate circuit than the other lower settings.

93 nissan maxima heater blower motor works on high only

You have a defective heater blower resistor, the part is located next to the blower motor in the air ducting that it uses to cool the resistor.

Heater / air conditioner fan control doesn't engage fan. Previously, it only worked in high speed.

I would replace the blower motor resistor first then see if that corrects this. The resistor is located next to the blower motor under the dash.

1997 Chevy K1500 heater only works on high

Good chance it's the resistor . Will be in circuit between switch and blower, usual locations are on ducting under dash on passenger side, or behind glove box. Locate wires coming from blower motor, and follow them back to resistor.
