Question about 2005 Mazda 6

Weird noise when steering

I have an 05 Mazda 6 with a little over 52k miles on it. I bought it used and the front hood on either side is slightly dented in making the top of the bottom stick out slightly further from the hood. Also, their is this noise that the front wheels make when I turn them all the way to the left or right its like a popping noise and it creaks, or sometimes when I go over a bump, its squeaky like an old taxi. Any ideas?

2.5, 6 cylinder miles 120K vibration/noise at 45 - 70 MPH maybe feel a little in steering wheel feels like under drivers feet tires look OK, drives straight etc. Pulled tires & did visual inspection...

Symptoms indicate tires out of balance. Can't necessarily tell by looking. If you want to troubleshhot yourself, try rotating front tires to back. If it gets better, you know the front tires were out of balance.

My car makes a humming noise when excellerating and is especcially noisey when turning steering wheel to the left. there is also a continous squeak. my husband put WD40 on the bolt on power steering box...

If WD-40 got on belt, and squeak went away for a while, it may just need a new belt. The humming noise sounds like a worn wheel bearing that should be checked and replaced if needed. If squeak goes away when you push slightly on brake pedal, it may be rotor on same side as wheel bearing making the noise due to slight shifting of rotor because of worn bearing. You can try swapping tires on front from one side to other to confirm it isn't tire problem as well. If noise shifts to other side, then it's a tire.

Screeching noise when steering

These are your brake pads letting you know that you only have %10 left. There are little metal tabs that rub on your rotors when your brakes are low and cause a squeeling noise. Just replace your front brakes.

Creaking sound from front passenger side of VW Polo 2003

the most common problem is the anti roll bar .where the bushes clamp around the bar there is a piece of plastic that the bush clamps around, the plastic breaks and can fall out .or the bushes that you describe are also common as a cause of noise or broken front springs .it will be one of them for sure.cheers

Woouumm Woouumm noise

Check the right side engine mount ASAP!
Call the dealer and give them the VIN number.

There is a new TOYOTA part no. 123052-0D120 to address this problem.

The old design on 05 and 06 has the noise problem.

In order to pin point the problem I will need the VIN number.

Please post it and I will follow up on it.
