I have a 92 buick skylark 3.3. v6 that I just replaced the starter on after the original starter gave out...after 3 days it's acting like the starter is junk already...I need to know if there's an inline diode or fuse or something other than the celanoid going bad that could cause this. Please...any answer would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Sam

Why does my 92' Buick Skylark keep dying Out.?

You have 2 issues here #1 the engine is running hot . Test the cooling system fans they seem to be not working. #2 car dies i would start with testing the secondary ignition (spark).

Starter cranks engine wont

Can you turn the engine by turning the alternator or water pump ?
If the engine turns freely, could be a problem with the cables to the starter or the starter itself.

Starter went out having trouble finding a starter that will bolt up. Tried 2 starters already the holes in the replacement starters dont line up. Car is a 1990 Buick Skylark.

that must not be original motor maybe. I'm sure there can only be two or three diff motors. take old one in with you and pull all avail starters for that car and match it up.

Good Day,

You didn't specify your engine size so here's a few diagrams:

I have labeled these according to engine size, make sure you use the right one.

Good Luck and hope this helps
