Question about 1996 Dodge Ram
The gas gauge in my truck falls down to empty after I turn the truck on. Also the gas light turns on. This happens even after I pit gas in the truck. What could it be? the sensor, gas pump, tune up?
The fuel pump and the sensor is altogether as one assembly. So if you buy the pump you would also be buying the sensor. Just for your information the pump is located in the gas tank under the bed, so you have two ways to change it. One is take the bed off (which is a lot easier if you have a full gas tank). But if its empty than use a jack to lower the tank down from underneath the truck. I hope this helps.
