The car keeps overheating i have by passed the heater core,put a new thermastat in , flushed the system out, replaced the radiator and cap, the previous owners put a new water pump in, the radiator pressure is holding 16lbs there is no water in the oil and no leaks anywhere plzzzz help! and no the car does not have a squeaky sound when it starts

If you are sure all of the above is correctly installed then the only othet thing i can think of if it isnt loosing coolant is either the guage or the sender unit is faulty,
if its not loosing coolant and the radiator isnt filled with muck then it really cant be anything else.
one other thing might sound silly but check that the thermo fan if its got one is coming on or if there is a plastic bag or something blocking the radiator

this may be a goofy question BUT do you mean flushed the radiator not the heater core. Heater core is on the firewall.
Check the hoses going into the heater core to be sure they are both hot after the car has reached running temp. This will let you know if you have a blocked heater core not radiator.
This sounds like a classic problem with the heater core. The heater core is like a small radiator that is located under the dash (likely). If the vehicle hasn't been maintained properly with regard to the coolant, the heater core can become clogged over time and need to be replaced.
Years ago, there was also a problem with mixing the green and red coolant. This caused the fluid to gel especially in the smaller passages of the radiator and the heater core.
Did you install an in-line port when you flushed the system? A little household water pressure flowing thru the system might help blow the clog out. Other than that, replacing the heater core Will likely solve the problem. Good luck!
Most auto supply stores sell a radiator flush kit. You install an adapter in the heater hose and hook up a garden hose to the adapter. You must start your car and run the heater in the max hot position to flush the heater core.
Well there's only part that has to do with the cooling system and serp belt - the water pump!! Maybe it's starting to seize or has too much play. Either way, when you change the water pump, replace the thermostat and flush the system very thoroughly, those 98-99's are notorious for rust build up. Make sure to pull the heater hoses off and flush the heater core too. After all said is done, purge the coolant and make sure there is heat from the blower. If not you're going to have to replace the heater core because that gets clogged sometimes when flushing.
the rust issue is related to the design of the cooling system, in a word ford screwed up, air gets trapped in the system and causes it to rust, the heater core is most likely plugged with rust, pull the hoses off at the firewall to the core and back flush the heater core, this should ge the rust out, then have the cooling system flushed with a power flusher, this will be a shop repair but there is no way around it, u may want to contact Ford/Mercury about a possible recall on the cooling system for this rust issue, as far as the A/C goes it is not related, does the compressor engage? let me know.
if engine temp is normal after running awhile. i would try to flush the heater core.(disconnecting the heater hoses from engine and flushing separately) ford cars and trucks have a "brown coolant" problem and the coolant will eventually clog heater core.
