You need to remove wheel , caliper , disk , then the two pins that hold the shoes in,then springs this will allow access to the cilynder wich you can then clean and service.
please leave feedback
cheers

Brake pedal almost going to the floor and fluid coming from the rear on a 2000 Durango

Sounds like you have a leak in the drum brake wheel cylinder. They happen, and more often than you would expect.

You'll see in the pictures, one is the new part and the other shows where it is on your truck.

If the cylinder went bad, you'll see brake fluid leaking, even slightly, out of the rubber boot on either side of the cylinder.

Brake fluid is leaking from rear wheel of 2000 Ford Taurus

drum rear end i assume. It will be a leaking wheel cylinder. Fairly cheap to replace but you may also need new lineings / shoes due to them being contaminated by fluid.

My 2002 dodge caravan sport is in need of pads thought I had time, but the break to the floor board doesn't stop vehicle. My break fluid was low and I could hear sounds of air every time I break. Now I...

I believe you have drum brakes on the rear of your Caravan, & it sounds like you have a wheel cylinder leaking, it will have to be replaced. This is what it looks like. Parts & labor to do a rear brake job should run around $220.00....Shop around and get a few estimates. Good luck, i hope this helps.

1995 buick lesabre. brakes are gone! fluid leaking from left rear brake.

If they are drum brakes then it is most likely the wheel cylinder. these are not expensive but you will need to replace the rear brake shoes and clean all the parts with brake clean. I recomend replacing the other cylinder while your at it.

How do i change the brake cylinders on the back drums? its leaking braking fluid and what should i se to re-seal the usnroof

Hi:
You can buy complete rear brake cylinders, and while you have everything apart to change them, you probaby need to replace the drum brake pads, if they have fluid on them. use a line wrench to undo the brake line on the back of the cylinder to avoid rounding off the fitting.

I have a chrysler neon 2000, recently I noticed that the brake oil is leaking for the left side rear wheel. what could the problem be? thanks

If it is leaking from the top area of the plate, and you have drum brakes...then the wheel cylinder is leaking.
