Hi, I just changed the left headlight in my Mazda3 hatchback and now the right one is out. I can't stomach another Mazda shop repair of $150. Can I do it myself??

2005 Mazda 3 comes with 2 styles of headlamps.

One is the standard halogen bulb, which is relatively easy to replace...just disconnect the socket from the back of the healamp assembly, pull the bulb out and disconnect the bulb from the wire connector - reverse order to install.

The other type is the discharge headlamp system. (Also called "Euro-style") This system requires removal of the bumper facia and bumper assembly so the headlamp assembly can be removed. Once the headlamp assembly is removed, then it can be disassembled to access the bulb. This system is also extremely high voltage and care must be taken to prevent electrical shock.

Sure! You should get a service manual for your vehicle at your local parts store for around $20. Then call around when you need parts to find the best deal. You will be surprised at the differences in some of the prices at different stores for the same part. A repair manual will save you a lot of headache when it comes to DIY repairs. Read through the entire task and if you feel confident you can do it great. If not never take your car to a dealer for a headlight change; they will jack you.

What model year transmission is compatible with a 2005 Mazda 3 sport

From Wikipedia.. "The Mazda3 or Mazda 3 (known as the Mazda Axela in Japan) is a compact car manufactured in Japan by the Mazda Motor Corporation. It was introduced in 2003 as a 2004 model, replacing the Familia/323/Proteg?. A performance-oriented version of the Mazda3 is marketed as the Mazdaspeed3 in North America, Mazdaspeed Axela in Japan and the Mazda3 MPS in Europe.
A second generation Mazda3 for the 2010 model year was unveiled in late 2008, with the sedan premiering at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the hatchback at the Bologna Auto Show. For the 2012 model year, Mazda began offering the Mazda3 with their newly developed SkyActiv technology, including a more rigid body, a new direct injection engine, and a new 6-speed transmission.[6]
The current third generation was introduced in mid-2013 as a 2014 model." My guess is the transmission from 2004 to 2009 mike be cross compatible. I would go to Autozone and ask or call the parts department at department at a local Madza dealer.

Hi, The windscreen wipers on Mazda 3 hatchback 2008 have stopped working. I think it's the fuse, but I can't find the fusebox. And I have no manual.

One fuse box is at the feet of the passenger. all you have to do is undo 2 half-twist fasteners, and the other fuse box is under the hood right behind the battery. I hope this helps. as to what fuse, i have no idea.

If it's red.. Then there's an issue with your brakes. Parking brake is left on, faulty parking brake sensor, low brake fluid, etc....

2007 mazda3 hatchback rear passenger floorboard gets soaked, doing this also when it doesnt rain, could an a/c line be stopped up and where would the line be located?

couldn't be an a/c line unless it has rear air, does the front passenger floor board get wet also, if it does it is probably the a/c drain tube for the evaporator core box.

Stuck gas cap

this is a very rare problem, it is caused by the large sealing O ring sticking. all car and trucks use this same cap developed by stant inductries.
