Not sure where the cam sensor is located but first call napa or auto zone or stop in get a price on the sensor and at same time auto zone can print out a diagram and show you the part and the location where it goes

SOURCE: where and how do you put a cam sensor on a Ford

Camshaft Position Sensor located above front crankshaft pulley. Use 10mm socket on 1/4" drive ratchet. Crawl under front of vehicle, disconnect electrical lead, remove bolt, clean timing chain cover area, install new CPS. About $27 at Ford dealer. On some years this is covered under a recent RECALL by Ford...after years of litigation.

SOURCE: why is my 99 ford F450 7.3L turbo diesel blowing

White smoke would be an idication of coolant in the combustion chamber. Check coolant level, check oil to see if it is a milky color.May be a leaking head gasket or possible oil cooler leaking. Let me know if this helpful

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A FUEL INECTOR TIMING SENSOR ON A 1994 FORD F250 DIESEL?

So that the computer knows the camshaft position in order to fire the injectors at the correct time. I ASSUME you mean the Cam Position Sensor. CMP, Because there is no such Fuel Injector Timing Sensor.

Ford f250 stalls when driving down the road,

What year... What engine? need info..... If it is a diesel with 7.3 L engine it is most likely the cam sensor. When it cranks does the tack work? that is another sign of a cam sensor It is on the front of the engine just to the right of the harmonic balancer top side. Replace it with a black one. Also could be in your IPR if diesel.

2005 ford excursion cam sensor location I need to change the cam sensor and the crank sensors on my excursion and i do not know where they are located

On my 02 Excursion with the 7.3L Diesel, the Cam Position Sensor is located at the front bottom of the engine on the passengers side. There is one electrical pigtail plug that is attached and one bolt holds the sensor in position. It may be located in a similar location on your 05 Ex. I do not know where the crank sensor is located. I hope this helps.
