How to install a cam sensor?
Under the ft driver side bumper locate power steer line and pump above line is sensor in block has two wire plug one bolt 8mm. long socket with short ext 1/4" drive should do it. has o-ring so may be a little tight after getting bolt out. about as long as pen, pull out ,put new in connect wire.

Not sure where the cam sensor is located but first call napa or auto zone or stop in get a price on the sensor and at same time auto zone can print out a diagram and show you the part and the location where it goes

Camshaft Position Sensor located above front crankshaft pulley. Use 10mm socket on 1/4" drive ratchet. Crawl under front of vehicle, disconnect electrical lead, remove bolt, clean timing chain cover area, install new CPS. About $27 at Ford dealer. On some years this is covered under a recent RECALL by Ford...after years of litigation.

White smoke would be an idication of coolant in the combustion chamber. Check coolant level,check oil to see if it is a milky color.May be a leaking head gasket or possible oil cooler leaking. Let me know if this helpful
