Question about 1993 Volvo 850
I recently bought my 1993 volvo great cond. but it stalls once in awile while driving. I'll turn off ignition for a minute or two then it will start and run just fine. It seems to act up more in the heat, but less when I have at least a half tank of gas?
I have a 95 940 that was stalling, replaced fuel injection relay

Its the fuel pump relay it becomes weak and sometimes no longer puls in the contactor to turn the fuel pump on after its turned it off. If you need a temporary fix just jam the relay shut, but only for the 1993 cars that have the fuel return line... had the same problem for a year took me a while to figure it out but finaly took the cover off the realy and watch it. sometimes it would not contact and the fuel pressure would drop till the motor starves. If you want to make sure this is the problem then the next time it stalles check the fuel rail pressure using the little nipple under the throttle cover... if it dribles out then thats your problem.
