The turn signal inicator light on the dash for the drivers side flashes rapidly, turn signal nor break light will work on drivers side back , but the tail light works fine. Bulb and fuses have been replaced. what could be causing this problem?
Could be the flasher.

Replace the socket, and I would suggest not using your signals while you have the cruise control on. There is a recall on other years cavaliers for the turn signal socket and they said it causes overheating in it when the cruise is on.
