Take a sniff of your exhaust and see if there is any antifreeze smell. do a compression check, oil is going somewhere, could be a bad gasket.

I have a Toyota Corolla 1,6 year 1984. Well maintained, services up to date. Will it be detrimental to engine if I drive steep hills with the car? I have to climb a steep hill to reach work.

No
not if you drive it accordingly
steep hills are best negotiated in low fears with plenty of rpm applied
for example on a steep grade with a manual 1st or 2nd or possibly 3rd and the rpm around 2000 constant will cause it no harm
automatics will go to first automatically so keep the rpm at that mark
engine damage is experienced when the gear selected is too high and the engine is placed under extreme load so down shift to allow the engine to work easily
When going down hill select first and only use the brakes to maintain the 2000 rpm range and allow the engine compression to hold the car speed back
the rule of thumb for experienced drivers is this
you select the same gear to go down that it took to come up

2001 toyota corolla aut. loses all power goin up hills goes real slow then takes off near end of hill

It looks like your engine needs an overhaul. You can confirm by doing a compression test.

My 01 Pontiac Montana is trying to overheat at high power

If your vehicle doesn't actually overheat, just getting hot, I think that's the normal behaviour for these cars. My 03 AWD behaves the same way. When driving uphill, especialy when towing, the temperature rises close to the red marking, but I have never experienced it overheating. I think that the temperature has to rise much over the normal driving temperature to activate the two electric fans.

Why while driving and car temperature is normal engine cut when coming to stop..?

sounds like the fuel filter is clogging up. most vehicles it runs ok, until you stop. and then the dirt, settles to bottom of filter, and restricts fuel flow. bad filter symtoms-- bogging down on hills or grades, stalls at stops, no power on take off, ETC, Hope this helps you!

What should the temperature of a 2001 Buick Park Ave be? Is 207 F normal? The digital controls say normal but the needle is a little over the 1/2 mark and the temaprture goes down to 201 F if I turn on the...

Your car is running in the normal range. You should fill the resivoir to the fill line on the side. As long as the temp gague stays near the middle you should are ok. HIGH is bad.

My 2001 focus Vetech ONLY runs hot going up a long grade. as soon as I level out or go down hill gage goes back to normal. It never runs hot at any other time. ONLY going up a long grade.

Check the low speed fan connector. It will burn out and the fans will only run when motor is very hot. It is located between the two fans and plugs in to the fan resistor. Unplug it and inspect the connector. You can fix it with two female spade heavy duty connectors. You will see it if you open the hood and look between engine and radiator.

Toyota estima 2.2 td 1992 water temperature high

I had same problem, but when I got to top of hill and sat idle for a bit, it would kick down ? replaced thermostat and still happened until I dumped radiator fix for temperature problems, overheating and such and has not happened since, no problems but even when I know the engine has to be overworked and should show hot, it never goes past middle. I'm not sure of name of liquid, got it from a car dealer, but it is basic about $18.
