You can go to autozone.com and then register for full free online repair manual for your buick. They have all the diagams you could need. Do you have the drum or disc brake in your century? They made them with both.

How to change a sepentine belt for a 1988 buick centrey

go to advance auto parts or somewhere similar and buy the haynes manual for your particular car. in the manual, it will tell you how to do everything there is to do to your car (maintenence and breakdown wise). Under the general maintenence chapter i'm sure it will tell you how to change your serpentine belt.

if you can't find it in the stores, i advise searching for it online. they usually only run like 30-40 dollars and can be the most useful thing you'll ever own for your vehicle.

good luck!

you probably have two flashers. try to remember where you heard the tick. turn your emergency flasher and locate that by feel. the one your looking for should be next to it. however the could one in the same. go to your local parts store and look at the manual that has been opened for your vehicle.

How do I change the headlights and the spark

I just had my spark plugs changed today on my 1989 buick century. I'll tell you this, the guy had a hard time doing it and had to take things off the engine to get to them. It was about a 5 hour job for the plugs and wires. Good Luck!

Screechy noise when starting 2001 Impala

Does this noise occur as the engine is cranking over to start, and as it just start up? It's probably the belt slipping on the pulleys. If the belt is original, or showing any cracks and splits, replace it. Keep the starter. countrycurt0
