Re: loose steering wheel
Disconnect negative battery cable(10mm).
Insert key and rotate steering wheel until one of the mounting bolts for the airbag are visible from the backside (7/32 or 5.5 mm).Unscrew and rotate 180 degrees until the other is visible.Pry airbag off with a small screwdriver (being very careful) release yellow connector and place airbag aside with leather or vinyl pointing up.
Use a 24mm socket and tighten to 37 ft.pounds.
Reverse procedure to re-install airbag.
Connect cable and remember the computer will have to relearn its settings so car may run different for a while..

I have a 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 manual transmission. The steering wheel is stuck and the key won't go all the way in and turn the ignition. I change the passenger side power mirror and this happen. What can I do?
tilt? you have to break down the column and takes special tools to remove the lock plates and remove the pins in the tilt knuckle once you get that a part then takes a torx socket to tighten the 3 screws holding the unit togethter
there is a cover on the bottom of the steering wheel.pop that open and there will be a 7mm bolt if it's loose just tighten it.turn to the right.if it is that style if not there will be a plug on each side on the back and two 8mm bolts
