Question about Mercedes-Benz 190-Class
If you have special plugs (platinum for example), sometimes the center electrode slips down to nearly or completely contact the ground, killing the spark.
Not theory, have had it happen.
Another possibility is cracked ceramic allowing the high voltage to arc to ground before it can arc at the spark gap.
