Is there a blower resistor module and/or relay? The blower resistor module often has a zener diode that burns out over time.(If you find this issue,see if you have a plugged up cabin air filter also).

No voltage to throttle body on a suzuki samuri

this this all stock car, as most sammi are vastly modified, now.
common mod is put in Sidekick G16B engine.
so is it stock 1.3L?
that be first question, and if car is EFI and is stock or G16
the TPS needs 5vdc from the ECU.
if the ECU 5vdc ref pin is dead there are only 2 causes.
1: ECU bad.
2: this line is shorted.

1992 had 3 engines. 1.3 , 1.6 TBI and 1.6 MPI
throttle body or Multipoint injection (4 injectors) vastly different.
ECU TBI , pin a23 is 5vdc, if the map shorts, this can blow out the 5vde regulator,
ECU MPI. pin B6 runs only the TPS. sensors. (simple)

best practice here is to post displacement of engine,
and ECU part number. ECU suffix is all we need. and bingo.
I have all Suz, part. number, in my book. for all parts and all ECU.
(usa and canada)

The ECU shops (cardone is tops in USA) the first test
is the 5v pin, #1 off the dime. that.
the Sidekick ECU 8valve ECU. TBI , the 5vdc pin loves to burn the
pcb trace to kingdom come.

the trace in front of this zener diode blows.
(usually customers hot wiring stuff (evil)

Alternator bad diode

is this a question,?
1: is mine bad, how to test it or find it, in the global sense?
2: where to buy one.
3: which brands are best.
4: how to do a basic diode test , front to back ratio testing.
5: what are the symptoms of a bad diode.

ill throw the ice 2+3 = 5.
the Modern ALT has many diodes. (and more{in dah reg})
the 2 main, sets are , the 3 phase set.
and the keep alive pack.
ill not cover the keep alive pack or the regulator diodes..
the 3 phase pack take the 3 AC phases and converts them to Pulsating DC. (in effect simulating a DC generator)
if 1 diode opens , you lose, 1/3 of the total power.
so 50 amp alt is now a 33 amp alt. (weak as a cat)

if the diode shorts, it becomes this huge noise generator.
(turn on the AM radio , here it sing and raise pitch as you gun the throttle (i use a scope to see bad diodes) bingo.
the noise can in fact cause any electronics on the car to go nuts.

the diodes also have one other feature, ill skip here, (zener actions)

Tach, Spedometer, Temp, and fuel guage all went out at the same time. Idiot lights, instr. lights, blinkers all working normaly

there is a regulator in the instrument panel that reduces the battery voltage to 9V, often a zener diode, this is likeley to be blown

Aftermarket LED stop/tail lights prevent cruise control working. Seems the cruise has a logic input, normally held low by brake light cct, but with LEDs, it stays high. Only answer without using power...

Too difficult to do this way. Place a diode in each input leg of the stop/tail light cct to prevent back current flow to the effected ccts.I have done this as I had the same problem as my cruise control and traction control where inoperable. These 'high end' features of later model cars disconnect when you brake but in most case insted of a simple on/off brake switch the swich is double thow and it it turns on brake light and turns off other ccts

My heater blower on my peugeot expert is not working

hi, had same problem twice with my 98 expert , first time it was heater control board(the slider sends a varying voltage thru the thin green wire at the motor plug, to a semi conductor encased in an ally heatsink when checking motor operation check thick red wire for 12v, and thin green for 1.5-4.5v, depnding on slider movement, and thick green for earth conn) , second fault was overheated conns both at motor conn and at relay(mine was bright green cased one behind glovebox), Terry
