Get a other name IFIXALL

Reason for my comment was that someone who uses the name IFIXALL ,and can not find the brake fluid reservoir on his truck is dumber than a sack of hammers and should not use a name like that, that implies he can fix everything

I was under the assumption that posts here are from people that have a problem with their vehicle and want a diagnose or solution for that.

i did find that in a lot of posts the questions are so skimpy with info, that a positive solution is like a stab in the dark, and is a guessing game.

By the nature of your comment I get the suspicion that the original post is more a trick question by the staff to the person replying to see if they are knowledgable in this field.

    Am i correct ??

you answered the stupid question,no need to repeat it.

what do you want me to do here.

I logged on to this site to help people, if i rubbed you the wrong way, i am sorry. but if you can't be more civil, then you can put it where the sun don't shine. I ain't gonna be nobody's fool.

If you mean the power steering pump, just look for the pump fluid reservoir. The power steering pump and reservoir are together as an assembly.

I need to top up the power stering fluid and need to know what tipe to use 1988 chevy silverado C3500 454 The power steering looks like it is incorperated into the brake booster

power steering is at the front of the engine and runs on the belt. The reservoir cap looks like this:
73b4b95.jpg To top off steering fluid, use standard steering fluid.

The reservoir in front of the brake booster is the brake master cylinder reservoir. To refill, use standard brake fluid. If it the truck is using brake fluid, check for leaks at the back of the master cylinder and at all wheels.

Please let us know if you have more questions.

Hello, my name is Ben. Since the brake fluid reservoir is located outside of the cabin area and mounted with a flexible coupling, I doubt that is the culprit of your rattle. What kind of repair was done on your truck? That info might help me to determine the source of the rattle.

Spongy brake pedal on my 2000 Silverado

You most likely have a slight leak in your brake system, and it could become a safety issue, so you need to inspect your truck to look for a few clues to the problem.

Check the inside area behind each wheel, and look for signs of brake fluid.leaking, Check the level of the brake fluid in the brake fluid reservoir.
If you spot a leak, or the fluid is low, you need to get your brakes repaired or serviced soon. Top off the fluid if needed, and don't delay on getting this checked out !

2000 suburban dashboard brake idiot light won't go out

howdy, when the solid red brake light is on without an ABS light, it is usually low brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir or the brake fluid level sensor in the reservoir is stuck or defective. let me know if this helps you ...... good luck.
