Question about 1997 Ford Aerostar Extended
When I go uphill sometimes, my minivan making some heavry noise like" bong bong" at the back underneath the van. especially if i have the air AC on, and the noise getting more. If I step on the fuel harder, the noise will start again. if I drive on the road (not uphill) the van is fine. And sometime if I hit on the bump, my minivan another weir noise again (on the pessenger side) sound like somewhere is loosing. Any idea?? I took the car to Auto Standard certified for safty check, and it passed the safty standard, and they have not find any problem underneath the van at all.
If if it is rear wheel drive then check you rear diff oil it may be low by the sounds of wwhat you are saying

Well usually this called detonation, also known as pinging. In most cars, this is caused by advanced timing or incorrect fuel octane. In your case, timing cannot be changed so going to a higher octane fuel will help. If you can find some, get some combustion chamber cleaner and add it to your gas. Sometimes, carbon deposits can cause pre-ignition/detonation
