Question about 1995 Ford F150 Styleside Regular Cab

Ford 150 gas mileage issues

I own a 1995 Ford flare side 4x4 pickup, and this truck gets no gas mileage! I can see the needle move as a press on the gas!. I go 10 miles and use a half a tank of gas!. The engine runs fine, has lots of power. All cylinders firing, I mean I can't feel any misfires when driving. It drives great but cant afford to drive it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your O2 sensors may be freaking out. The O2 sensors tell the ECM how much fuel to send through the injectors. When the O2 sensors quit working right, the ECM has no idea what to do with the fuel. Do a fuel pressure test as well. If the pressure regulator is working correctly, it'll go through alot of fuel as well. You should be at 40 psi. When running you should be at 37 psi.

1995 ford contour has a blown brake line on passangers rear. mechanic said the gas tank has to be dropped to replace, Is this true and if so how much of a pain is the whole operation?

There r ways around that if u follow the brake line u could cut the broken one right before the gas tank then flare it n connect a new line n run it on the side of the gas tank with wire ties . Also u can put a compression fitting on the line u cut after the gas tank that's Wat I did two years ago n they r still working fine .if u can get the flare kit do it that way cuz I belive they can fail u for the compression fitting

My 1995 ford f-150 pu 4WD with 351 cleveland is getting bad gas mileage what all can i do to fix?

A few things that can be done is to do a full tune up: Plugs, wires cap, rotor, air filter and oil change. That will help. Also replacing or cleaning sensors like the Throttle position valve, Air intake valve, Air Temperature sensor and O2 sensors will greatly improve economy. Those sensors help to determine the proper air/ fuel ratio. if the mix is too lean or rich you will burn through gas. These relatively cheap repairs will definately help. i did all this to my 99' ram 4x4 last week and increased MPG from 9.8 to 13.4 mpg.

Thank you for your question and good luck!

I have a 1995 F-150 4x4 truck that I need to pull behind a moving truck, possible around 2500 miles. From Longbeach Wasington to Dayton, Ohio, what do you recomend.

I would recommend that would not hurt it as long as it is in neutral, the only think that it would hurt would be your tire wear.

Manual info. doesn't match abreviations on schematic for ford 351m. Engine is 1977 carb is later model motocraft 72vv . I just want to have necessary lines correct and or plug others . which can deliver...

Vacuum advance is the primary line to have hooked up for gas mileage. hot air pickup is absolutely necessary if your in colder climate. Unhooking lines won't give better gas mileage but the above systems need to be working for good mileage.

I have a 1997 ford f-250 4x4 and its lousy on gas

You could fill the tires with Nitrogen but it will cost about $15 a tire. You will gain 1.5 - 2 miles more a gallon. Big trucks were made for pulling and hualing only. If your looking at gas mileage then you need a focus.
