Question about 2002 Jaguar X-Type
Just changed drive shaft this morning and now I have a gearbox fault
and a dsc system fault. abs light and engine light...what can I do?
I live 2 1/2 hours away from nearest jag. dealer.
Most likely the ran it up on the lift and that triggers all these. you should be able to bring it any local garage and they should clear it.

Check carefully ant wiring loom you may have moved to replace the shaft.
As you were only working on mechanical items, and just moving electrical systems, it is almost certainly a break in the loom or a faulty connector in that area. You may need to unwrap the loom a bit.
Hope this solves it for you.
Thanks for using Fixya!

this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating
that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must
now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and
"scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the
