Sounds like one of the lines have a hole. You will have to let the tank down and see where the gas is coming from. You likely need to replace the sending unit/hanger assembly.

sounds like return fuel line from engine has a leak at tank.look for smaller of to metal lines in front of tank and trace hose to top of tank fairly easy to replace.

If your gas tank is cracked or has a hole in it, you have to drain the tank, remove the gas tank and replace it, or have it repaired (if possible). If the gas tank is just leaking from the top and dripping along the side and to the bottom, you will still have to empty the gas tank, and remove it to get a good look at the condition of the gasket. It is not uncommon for these gaskets to become cracked or fragile over time because of the harsh chemicals and cleaning agents used in unleaded gas. you'r EVAP system is not purging the system . I suspect it is your charcoal canister located in the left side of the engine compartment located near the master cylinder its a piece of cake to change it just slides up after you diconect the lines .

You don't need to replace the gas tank, the filler pipe is connected to a rubber hose which connects to the tank with clamps at each end.
