Well i fixed it myself ....the new wires ...two of them were sparking out ...which was causing the motor to run erratic....took new wires back ...bought life time ones ...solved the problem ....returned other ones ...
It's not some thing that happens too often ...just because it's new ...doesn't mean it will always be made properly ....

Do a balance test on the injectors. Remove one injector plug one at a time. Each time you remove one you should have a miss. All 6 should have the same miss. You could have an injector going bad.

'90 Buick Century dies often, will start again after sits 2 hrs

The fuel pump is starting to go. The fuel pump sending unit which is part of the fuel pump is over heating in time and shutting down. This is causing the fuel pump to shut down.
I would replace the fuel pump and filter.

Good luck

How to change a water pump on a 1999 Buick Century 3100?

the water pump on the 3.1 isnt to hard to change ...
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Partially drain the cooling system into a suitable container.
  3. Remove the drive belt guard.
  4. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts before removing the drive belt. This should help keep the pulley from turning as the bolts are loosened.
  5. Remove the drive belt. Remove the water pump pulley bolts and remove the pulley.
  6. Remove the water pump bolts and separate the pump from the engine front cover.
