Our combination is 000. Try that. That may be the default. If you got time, start at 000 and go in order to 999. You've only got a thousand combinations! When you get sick of doing it, write down the number you ended with. When you feel doing it again, start out with the next number. It's really quicker than you think! It's a pain in the ****, but you'll eventually get it! Good luck!

I bought a 92 grand prix and it has a combination lock on the glove box, how do I find out the combination?

Usually the owner never changed the factory combo (#000). I had no such luck and had to pry the latch and manually open the catch with a piece of thin metal. then I took the lock out and looked for a spaced cog on each tumbler(from the backside). After aligning them in a row, I the rotated all three together up a couple positions to align the combination to it's proper location.

Kids locked my glove box and I just bought the car yesterday what is the default combination or a way to get in the glove box without breaking it

I would stop by your local locksmith shop and I am sure for 5 to 10 bucks they could get it open for you without any damage.

How do I open my glove compartment on my 1993 Pontiac Gran Prix. It has a combo lock that I do not have the combination for?

Your VIN and ID are what you need to take to the dealer for the combination. It is usually available on the service department pod computer.

Need access to glove compartment

Dealerships were issued a tool to reset that combination. Ask around your local dealerships, someone is bound to have one still.

How do I change the combination code for the glove box if there is not a way how would I find out what the combination is

I assume you know the current combination and can open it. To set the combination to a number code of your choice you must first remove the red plastic guard over the yellow tab next to the combination dials. Push the glove box release lever to the right to open the glove box. To change the combination:
1. With the glovebox open, hold the release to the right and slide the yellow tab up. This locks the release open and permits you to reset the code.
2.After resetting the code, write it down in case you forget it.
3. Slide the yellow tab down and the release will return to the closed position.
4. Close the glove box and move the dials off the code you set to lock it.
This is all from the 89 Pontiac Owners Manual. Good luck, hope it works.

Radio need codes to operate

Check in the glove compartment or on the arms of the trunk.  You should be looking for a 5 digit number.

Glove box combination lost

It can be pretty easy to do.
You'll need a bright flash light and a small flat head screw driver.
Turn on your flash light and shine it directly onto the dials, take your small screw driver and push the dial to one side or the other, usally push it to the left.
Yes, you won't have a lot of room to move it, but you should have just enough to see a line, or a groove. If you don't see a groove turn the dial to another number until you are able to see a line, or groove.
When you see a groove you are on the correct number, then do the same to the other ones, then push the button to open it up.
Example. (0)(0)(0)     (0)(2)-(0)     (1)-(2)-(0)     (1)-(2)-(3)-
Good luck.
