2 problems - there is a creaking sound coming from the back when I corner - this ususally on happens when I'm cornering hard left. what is this & is it expensive to fix Also the boot catch will not open when using the key fob - to open it I have to crawl into the boot area & flick the catch. Do I need a complete new lock ot can this be fixed

make sure your power steering fluid is ok this is a litle harder to inspect as the resivour is located at the power steering pump could also be a bad pully or belt on your drive belt for your alt power steering and water pump as well as the a/c circuits any of these could make a whinny noise its the process of elimation
Hi Sarah, happy you found the problem. I have never heard of a foot spring and have no idea where it fits or what it does? The reason I'm answering is to ask you when requesting help from us, it would help plenty if you told us what car, what model, year of manufacture and the type of engine. theres a sensor for engine intake manifold pressure mounted on the right hand side of the bulkhead. The pipe the connects the sensor to the intake manifold can develop a leak due to the constant flexing due to the movement of the engine. The fuel injection and ignition system then can't correctly compensate for the pressure so the engine can hesitate under load. Try replacing this short length of tube with a new piece.
Hi, had the same problem, dont know if its same car tho 2003 megane, there s a grill where the windscreen wiper motor sits, there are two drain holes and they get blocked then the water spills backwards into the car and down into the footwell, i had to take the wipers off today and clear the blockage hopefully my car will dry out now
