I have the same problem but also the door locks don't engage when I press the switch. I hear the chuck chuck noise as I try to engage them though. I think the widow lock from the front might be the culprit for the rear window lockup. I wish I knew what to do because I usually fix things myself but I don't know where to start. Please Email me at with the answer Thanks

I would pull the window switches up and test for power if you have power pull the front passenger side switch out and attach it to the rear connector if that still doesnt work i would pull off the door panel and look to see if the window motor arms are not connected if not your window motor may be damaged did the windows show any signs of going bad before it went bad like moving pretty slow or alot of movent forward and back while going up and down

A solution is hard to give with out looking at and doing some testing but advise and help i can do, this sounds like a lack of fuel pressure, it died out and was hard to restart and backfiring from loss of fuel, this sounds to me like a fuel pump that is on the way out,

The first thing would be to have a fuel pressure gauge connected to fuel rail so that you can watch the pressure as you drive and see if you loose pressure when car begins to die out or back fire. good day

Power windows will not go down on both rear windows. The driver and passenger front windows go down and up fine. The window lock is not on. I have checked the fuses. I just purchased used-this was a...

First read the owners manual.
Second open the rear doors and take a look at the end of the doors, not the inside and outside, look at the and see if there is a child proof engagement switch. Thgis keeps kids from opening the doors and windows. There may be a switch on the master control as well.
While they are all over 10, hence subject to failure, the rear windows are used so seldom that failure is unlikely.

Power door locks and windows stopped working. also, wipers and automatic lights do not work. airbag light is also flashing. all the fuses are good. Help!

take the drivers front wheel off and take the splash shield down. towards the upper rear of the wheel well there is a bunch of wires running through a plastic run that double back at the end of it. wires tend to rub through at that switch back and cause a lot of the key-on accessories to stop working. this problem is common on 97 to 02 Taurus/Sable vehicles.
