Have the codes read anyway. Turn the key on, do you see a check engine light? We work on auction cars also. To many times I see that the light is not on.
with the motor running?your problem is vague but whatever it is be sure to check the fuses and if they check out ok get a good auto-electrician to take a look at your vehicle
There are literally thousands of codes that can cause the check engine light to come on. There is no way to guess why yours is on based on your symptoms. Many auto part stores will scan your engine computer and give you a print out of the codes for free, unless you live in CA. We would need to know what these codes are to give you an accurate reason you are having issues. FYI, modern engines won't rev past 3000-3500 rpm in neutral. This is to prevent engine and torque converter damage.
Most auto stores will hook up a code reader and tell you what is wrong with the car for free. There motivation is to sell you the parts necessary to fix the auto. Most of the time the problem is just a bad oxygen sensor. At any rate the code reader can also turn off the warning light. If you do not fix the problem the warning light will just come back on .
test battery and alternator battery may be loosing charge or alternator output enough to run vehicle but not enough to keep battery charged some auto stores such as auto zone/advanced auto can bench test both for free
Had the same problem on a 2003 vibe- finally dianosed as a fried headlamp module then needing to trace back and find a short in the electrical that blew headlamp module . Module $ 170. Labor to replace module 2hrs. Labor to trace short 4 hrs??? Dealer charged me $900- .
If anyone has info on how much time it should have taken. I would appreciate the feedback
hi first of all check the temp sensor on the auto box.also check transmission oil cooler that it is not blocked.when the computer for the auto box detects a problem it turns off the over drive.
