I need to find instructions how to replace the timing belt and water pump on the 1999 Lexus RX 300 SUV. I want to replace it myself.

I understand why you want to do it yourself - it's expensive to have it done by a mechanic. that's because it's a major job to remove the engine, takes 4-5 hrs. i avoided having it done by having an honest mechanic i've been going to for a long time do something else (sorry, i don't know what) that fixed the problem temporarily. he told me it must be done after 90k miles or so, so i'm saving up.

Was running and the fuel rail was loose and after I discovered it was loose it shot gas out and shut down quickly while running.

2000 Lexus RX300 had timing belt replaced at 91,000 miles, now has 155,000 miles - do I need to replace it again?

91 X 2 = 182,000 so why would you even listen
to that pitch

For $1100 I would drive it until it quit or fix it
myself or have a relative work on it

It is an igniter code for one cylinder. Most cars are cylinder 4 but it depends on the engine size. Check each plug wire and see if one is misfiring or not firing. Then you should be able to trace it back to the source.

Lexus rx300 should i replace water pump at same time as timing belt

yes it will be a little more than just the timing belt but it will save money if the pump goes bad later-when the pump leaks it will leak onto the timing belt and need replaced again
so yes i would do them at the same time

90000 is a suffficiently long time for a timing belt. I'd listen to the dealership.
