When I driving my Honda Civic 160i in high speed my car sometimes overheats, the other day I was doing 140km/h and the gauge just raised. Can you tel me what might be wrong with it because I have a new radiator and I just changed my cam belt.

Faulty water pump (should have been replaced when the cam belt was replaced), or sticking/faulty thermostat!!

Overheating when I sit idle.

Over heating the engine is a serious concern. With the hood raised you should hear the motorized fan turn on just behind the radiator as the engine requires additional cooling.. If you look in from the rear of the radiator you should see the fan blades.

This electric powered motor operates on a thermostat and when the engine temperature rises this fan should come on. I'm assuming from your description that when driving and air is flowing through the radiator as the car travels the engine is nor overheating.

Check fan motor thermostat, check fan motor and check wiring.

Motor engine cooling fan only runs as engine temperature requires additional cooling.

2006 3.0ltr diesel turbo temp gauge goes up at idle but back to normal when driving engine not hot does not overheat when going long distance????

Maybe your cooling fan is broken. I had the same problem with a honda civic. It would overheat at idle or low speed, but at high speed the air forced through the cooler would keep the temp down. I don't know why it broke, but I just wired the fan to a circuit that came on when the car started. I used a multimeter to check the voltage of various wires in the engine compartment until I found one that was off when the car was off and on when the car was on.

I have a honda ballade 160i luxline '93 model with a over heating problem when i go on long continuous drives even though my cooling fan works on temperature. my idling of my car is also not s

Change the thermostat? Probably did, since you went after the computer. Does the car really over heat? Or does the gauge just go high(bad gauge). If the engine does over heat, then it could be the water pump, or to much sediment in the engine(Something blocked). I have seen both.
