Yellow circle, with triangle and exclamation mark – The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) dashboard light flashes if the ESP or traction control is activated whilst driving. If ESP or traction control has been switched off, it will light up continuously. If ESP or traction control is not turned off and the warning light illuminates continuously, it indicates a problem and malfunction with either ESP or traction control.
Most likely it is the traction control system. When the light is constantly on, the system has been turned off. When it flashes, it means the car is losing traction
It's the " traction control system " that's off line, if you also have the [ Yellow ] Anti-lock Brake System light on, it usually means you have a problem with that system. The Traction control system is tied into that system. You should have the systems scanned.
good luck.
This light shows operational status of traction
control system. If it is constantly lit when engine is running, this
means that traction control system is off. If the light flashes during
driving, it means the loss of traction at the wheels, and traction
control system is operating- decreasing engine torque to stop exessive
wheelspin.
Good luck.
the red light means power limited. the yellow ESP light is part of the traction control system.. if you were on slippery ground its a normal thing to happen if the tires spin
Bonnie, this is the traction control light, there is many reasons why this could be on. The easiest way to turn it off is to pull the emergency brake, this would usually disengage the traction control. This is not, however, a fix to your problem as to why it is on.
that is your traction control. Either you pressed the traction control button it say ASR OR ESP on your console in the center next to the hazard switch.
