Question about 1997 GMC Savana
When my van get hot it will not start if l drive 2 to 5 miles cut it off it will not start till it get cool and that could take up to 4hrs and is not the starter
Could be the battery and starter solenoid. Solinoids often heat up and can't make the required electric connection until they cool off.
Or, the battery can't hold a charge due to faulty alternator or other electrical parts. The only other thing I can think of is the head gasket or cooling sustem is bad allowing an overheat to take place and the moving engine parts lock when hot.
